Imagine travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru in just 2 hours!

Over the weekend, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the PM has approved the proposed Southern Bullet Train Corridor.

Some interesting numbers:

→ Bengaluru to Chennai: 73 minutes

→ Hyderabad to Bengaluru: 2 hrs 10 mins

→ Hyderabad to Chennai: ~2 hrs 55 mins

→ 7 high-speed rail corridors planned across India

Now imagine how this could change the way we travel for work, business or even to meet family.

But there's still a long way to go. Detailed project reports are expected by March 2027, while final ticket prices, station locations and completion timelines are awaited.

I personally feel this could be a big change for people who regularly travel between these cities.
